Welcome! I am a historian, writer, and teacher based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I am Assistant Professor of History. My work ranges widely across modern German, European, and international history, but I’m especially interested in the domains where ideas and politics intersect. My current project explores how religious intellectuals reshaped national identity and public memory in West Germany after World War II and the Holocaust.
