Welcome! I am a historian, writer, and teacher based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I am Assistant Professor of History. My work ranges widely across modern German, European, and international history, but I’m especially interested in the domains where ideas and politics intersect. My current book project explores how religious intellectuals shaped the consolidation of democracy alongside the misremembering of Nazism in post-1945 West Germany.
